Affiliate disclosure: this site is independent and is not operated by FOMO Labs, Inc. Links marked as referral links pay us a share of trading fees when you sign up and trade. This does not change the 10% fee discount you receive. How that money does and does not affect what we write is set out on the editorial policy page.

About this site

By Ellis Vandermeer · Published 5 September 2026 · Last updated 5 September 2026

FomoFamilyCode is an independent review site about the Fomo app by FOMO Labs, Inc. It is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for that company. It earns money from referral links and says so on every page.

What this site is

One person reviewing one product and its competitors, in public, with dates attached. The site covers what Fomo costs, what it can and cannot do, what its users complain about, and how it compares with the alternatives. Where a comparison makes Fomo look worse, that stays in; the editorial policy makes that a rule rather than a preference.

The evidence rules the site is written under are on the methodology page, and every external source it leans on is listed on the sources page.

Who writes it

Ellis Vandermeer is a pen name. One person researches, writes and maintains this site, and publishes under a pen name rather than a legal name. We would rather tell you that plainly than invent a biography or a set of credentials.
PLACEHOLDER, TO BE REPLACED BY THE SITE OWNER

What you should judge this site on is not the author's biography, which you cannot verify, but the evidence behind each claim, which you can. Every factual statement here is placed in one of four buckets: taken from Fomo's own screens or documents, measured by us, reported by a third party only, or not verified. The bucket is stated next to the claim, and the date it was checked is stated with it. Where we have not been able to verify something, the page says so rather than filling the gap. Our methodology page explains how the buckets work and our sources page lists every external source we relied on.

Financial interest you should know about: this site earns a share of trading fees when a reader creates a Fomo account through the referral code on it. That is the only way it makes money. It has no arrangement of any kind with FOMO Labs, Inc. beyond the standard public referral program that anyone can join, and nobody at Fomo reviews, approves or sees this site before it is published. If you think a page here reads more favourably than the evidence supports, write to hello@fomofamilycode.com and we will publish the correction on our corrections page.

Until this is replaced, treat the biography as unverified and judge the site on its dated sources instead.

This site is not FOMO Labs, Inc.

FomoFamilyCode has no corporate, contractual or editorial relationship with FOMO Labs, Inc. beyond an ordinary public referral programme that anyone can join. We cannot access your account, change your fees, recover your funds or answer support questions.

If you have a problem with the Fomo app itself, contact Fomo through the app or through fomo.family. We are readers of that product, not operators of it. Any site claiming to offer a Fomo airdrop, a permanent fee discount, or wallet connection to "claim" something is not Fomo and is not us.

How the site makes money

Referral links. When somebody signs up through one and trades, we receive a share of the trading fees Fomo charges. The reader's 10% discount is unaffected. The full explanation is on the affiliate disclosure page, and what that money is not allowed to do is on the editorial policy page.
