What is the Fomo app?

Fomo (fomo.family) is a social trading app for memecoins and altcoins on web, iOS and Android, built by FOMO Labs, Inc. You fund one balance, follow traders on a leaderboard and see their buys live. Which networks are documented is set out in its own section below.

The company was founded in 2025 by Paul Erlanger and Se Yong Park and has raised about 94 million USD: a 17 million USD Series A led by Benchmark in November 2025 and a 75 million USD Series B led by Index Ventures in June 2026. Fomo reports over 600,000 users and more than 4 billion USD in cumulative volume, and in August 2026 it reached the top five finance apps on the US App Store. Similarweb estimated about 2.0 million web visits in July 2026, 51% from the United States.

Third-party reviews describe self-custodial smart accounts with email or Apple sign-in, no seed phrase, and a company that says it cannot move your funds. We report that rather than assert it; we have not audited the custody model. Perpetual futures are reported as routed to Hyperliquid with up to 50x leverage (BTC 40x, ETH 25x, SOL 20x) and blocked for US persons, which we read on the app perps screen on 4 September 2026.

What does Fomo cost to use, and what does code feerebate save?

Spot trades cost up to 0.5% each, or about 0.45% with a referral code, with a minimum of roughly 0.95 USD per trade. Perps cost 0.05% plus Hyperliquid protocol fees. Gas and slippage are extra. Your first Apple Pay purchase on a new account has a 0 USD fee.

The minimum fee is the number to watch. A 50 USD buy pays about 0.95 USD, which is 1.9%, nearly four times the headline rate. On 1,000 USD the fee is 5 USD (4.50 USD with the code). Full breakdown on the Fomo fees page. The in-app referral screen, captured 4 September 2026, reads "Get a 10% discount on trading fees for a limited time" and appears during signup. What can you actually do in Fomo?

Buy and sell tokens from one balance, follow traders and get alerts on their buys, copy trades one at a time and trade perps up to 50x outside the US. Spot has no limit orders, stop losses or slippage settings, which we checked in the app on 4 September 2026.

Which networks and assets can you trade?

What is documented about networks is set out in its own section below; we do not print a flat list as fact. Third-party reviews report that you can buy on one network and sell on another without touching a bridge, with routing and gas inside the quoted fee, and that Robinhood Chain stock tokens are blocked for users in the US, Canada, UK and Switzerland. We have not verified either claim.

How does the Fomo social layer work?

The leaderboard ranks traders by PnL, the feed shows their buys as they happen, and you can follow anyone and receive alerts. Two things to know. Leaderboard PnL is mark-to-market, so a trader holding an illiquid token that spiked on thin volume shows a large paper gain they may never realise. And copy trading is manual: you get the alert and confirm each trade yourself, which is safer than a bot but slower.

Before you follow a leaderboard name, look at what the displayed gains are made of. Leaderboard PnL is mark-to-market, so a position in a thin pool can show a profit that cannot be realised at that size.

Which order types does Fomo offer?

Spot trading is market orders only. There is no limit order, no stop loss, no take profit and no slippage control as of 4 September 2026. On fast memecoins this means you accept whatever price the route returns. Terminals such as Axiom and BullX offer all of these; see Fomo vs Axiom.

How do funding and withdrawal work on Fomo?

Apple Pay funding is confirmed by an in-app banner captured 4 September 2026. Card, USDC and SOL deposits are third-party reported and not verified by us, as is the claim that card and Apple Pay run through a regulated payment partner which may ask for identity documents. Withdrawals to any wallet address, and bank withdrawals being US only, are also third-party reported. Some users report ID verification before a withdrawal (Google Play review, 19 August 2026).

What are the Fomo app pros and cons?

Fomo wins on ease of use, multichain balance, mobile design and funding options. It loses on fees for small and large trades, on order control, on execution speed under load, and on support quality.

What are the Fomo app pros?

  • Apple Pay funding, confirmed by an in-app banner dated 4 September 2026. Email or Apple sign-up with no seed phrase is third-party reported.
  • One balance across several networks. What is actually documented per network is in the networks section below.
  • Native iOS and Android apps plus web, positions sync across devices.
  • Live feed of followed traders' buys, alerts, leaderboard.
  • Self-custodial smart accounts, as reported by third-party reviews and not verified by us; funded, named company behind it.
  • Perps up to 50x on Hyperliquid for non-US users at 0.05%.

What are the cons, and where does Fomo lose?

  • 0.5% spot fee is higher than a DEX aggregator; the 0.95 USD minimum makes small trades expensive.
  • No limit orders, stop loss, take profit or slippage control on spot.
  • Execution can lag on mobile during volatile moments (Google Play, 24 August 2026); sells reported failing (Trustpilot, April 2026).
  • An App Store review (July 2026) reports the app freezing and a position disappearing from view.
  • Leaderboard PnL is mark-to-market and can be inflated by illiquid holdings; the verified badge is informational and scam tokens have carried it.
  • Support replies are described as canned; balance chart reported inaccurate.
  • Perps and Robinhood stock tokens blocked in the US; bank withdrawals US only.

Is Fomo safe to use?

The company is real, funded and identifiable, and accounts are self-custodial. The risk is in what you trade, not in who holds it. Memecoins, mark-to-market leaderboards and a verified badge that does not vet tokens are the things that lose people money.

Restricted jurisdictions in the Terms of Service: Iran, Yemen, Myanmar, North Korea, DR Congo, Libya, Sudan, Cuba, Venezuela, Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk. No token or airdrop has been announced. For the full breakdown of complaints, scam reports and what we could and could not verify, read Is Fomo legit?

Risk note: memecoins can lose most of their value in minutes, liquidity can vanish, and leaderboard traders may be selling into the buyers who follow them. Perps at 50x can be liquidated by a 2% move. Only trade money you can afford to lose entirely. Nothing on this page is financial advice.

Who should use Fomo, and who should not?

Use Fomo if you trade from a phone, want to fund with Apple Pay, and value a social feed over precision. Skip it if you trade under 200 USD per order, need limit orders or stop losses, snipe launches, or want the lowest fee on large size.

Which networks does Fomo support, and what is actually documented?

Fomo does not publish a definitive supported-network list, so we refuse to print one as fact. Below is every piece of evidence we hold, labelled by where it came from. Anything absent from this table is Not verified.

SolanaWe queried a third-party data API on 5 September 2026. It returned 114 of 114 positions and 100 of 100 recent trades on this network. That API may index only this one network, so the result cannot be read as evidence about any other. We measured it
Any other networkNot verified.Not verified

Two things follow. A blog post announcing a network in late 2025 is evidence that Fomo launched it, not proof it is live for your account today. And fomofamily.com, the most rigorous competitor site we found, explicitly declines to publish a supported-network list because it says the list is account-specific. We reached the same conclusion independently and take the same position: open the network selector inside the app before you fund anything.

What else do people ask about the Fomo app?

Quick answers to the questions people ask before installing Fomo: beginners, fees, chains, order types, US perps, custody and the token question. All checked 4 September 2026.

Is the Fomo app good for beginners?

The product is beginner friendly. Apple Pay funding is confirmed by a screenshot dated 4 September 2026; email sign-up with no seed phrase and a single multi-network balance are third-party reported. The assets are not beginner friendly at all: memecoins can lose most of their value in minutes, and the feed makes it easy to chase.

What are the Fomo app fees?

Up to 0.5% per spot trade, 0.45% with a referral code, minimum about 0.95 USD. Perps 0.05% plus protocol fees. Gas and slippage extra. Verified 4 September 2026.

Which networks does Fomo support?

Fomo publishes no definitive list, so neither do we. Its blog announced Base in September 2025, BNB Chain in October 2025 and Monad in November 2025. The iOS app showed a Robinhood Chain fee notice on 4 September 2026, and our own API query on 5 September 2026 saw Solana activity only. See the networks section above.

Does Fomo have limit orders or stop losses?

No. Spot is market orders only with no slippage control as of September 2026. Hyperliquid perps have their own order types.

Can US users trade perps on Fomo?

No. Perps are not offered to US persons.

Is Fomo self-custodial?

Third-party reviews say yes, self-custodial smart accounts with no seed phrase at sign-up. We have not verified the custody model ourselves.

Is there a Fomo token or airdrop?

Nothing has been announced as of 4 September 2026.
